****This was originally suppose to be a post to someone else but i cant figure out how to find her post, i hope this is useful for others****

I started Lutera about 3 months ago, after getting the paragaurd IUD out which where i should have started my period that week, but instead the doc thought i should try Lutera so i would start the first day that day and not wait for my period, i thought that would like make my system all out of wack, so i asked her she said "Nope, you have the choice with lutera not to even have your period by skipping ur *sugar pills* and just continue onto a new pack" im like uh i dont kno but she said "when taking the hormone pills (or aka lil white ones that i call em, ) it keeps your body from realeasing any eggs" so im like okay cool... well THEN I decide well since im basically skipping my period this coming up week ill have one at the end of my pack and start it the next round....month 2 rolls along, skip the sugar pills and continue onto the next pack...WELLLLLL still got my period on that first week, so now on the 3rd pack, the first day of the 3rd pack it being a monday, as in the 30th of June, and what happens i SKIP a freakin pill, tuesday early evening i realize this and go, OH SH*T so I take both pills at once, then totally freak b/c my husband and i just did it the night prior (monday) so my doc had given me PLAN B prior when i had gotten the BC pills, *mind you if i hadnt started my new pack and skiped my surgar pills id be on myperiod* so I take the plan b....then the next day talk to a on call nurse bc at this point im thinking, MAN am i going to have a period now that i took plan b on top of my BC pills...well its been 3 days and no period bit of cramping but no perod and im still taking my BC pills as usual as told...SO I have a funny feeling but it might just be the plan b acting up on me or something, but my period have been reg on and off BC pills, so I think that our bodys just do SILLY THINGS sometimes....at least thats what im expeirencing!!!!! I say wait a week or 2 max and go see the doctor, even if you havent had a period in a couple months at least thats what i would do at least to get a blood sample, or sono done JUST in CASE Smile goooood luck!!!!!

Uh wow. When you skip a pill, say you take them at night and you forgot, but remember in the morning; just take it in the morning and continue on with your life. Nothing will happen. Don't take both pills at once. If you forget for a whole day, your body my release an egg, but it's a 50/50 chance. It takes a while for the egg to die, and thus you get your period; so even when on the pill, you really should use some sort of other birth control (like condoms, spermacide, etc.).

You shouldn't skip your period. By making your body skip it it makes slip ups like this harder. Plan B, or night-after pills, aren't good either. They can mess up your body too.

And your body never does silly things. People are usually who do the silly things to their bodies. And, for something like this, or anything you think you should see you doctor about, you should go right away. Waiting can seriously harm you.
