I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for 5 months but my doctor switched me to Lo Loestrin 24 Fe because she thought I needed a lower dose, as I kept getting recurring yeast infections. The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack. However, I just finished my placebo pills (inactive pills) for the month and I have not gotten my period. I only missed one pill, but took it the next day as soon as I remembered and I did not have sex that day or the next. Also, my boyfriend and I do not use condoms but he always pulls out. I took a pregnancy test and it is negative. Is there a chance that I could be pregnant??? Could this just be the result of me delaying my period for a week??

It is unlikely that you will be pregnant. Loestrin is one of the modern pills that can make your periods very light and short, or even totally absent. This is not a problem, or bad.

I am a bit worried about the way you continued your pills after the delay. You should avoid taking less than 24 active pills in a row. So if you skip the 4 inactive pills, continue with the next pack until it is done. Do not take 7 active pills, 4 inactive pills, 17 inactive pills then 4 inactive pills again. Always make sure you take at least 24 active pills in one stretch.

Take a pregnancy test if you are still worried about pregnancy, but do not expect a positive result. If your period stays away for 3 packs of pills, see your doctor to make sure nothing else is causing it.

I took a pregnancy test after my period was late a couple days, it was negative. I will probly take one next week just to be sure. I am starting over on a new pack and am going to take the full 24 active pills.

Im just nervous because I am very regular and have never missed a period. I have done a lot of reading and it sounds like this is pretty common on this pill tho. Is it possible that the pregnancy test is a false negative? Thats my only concern...
