Q: Missed period and nauseous
asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 26th, 2009
Help! I am 19 and I am not sexually active! My menstrual cycle
is usually regular. In July I completely missed my period Shocked . In August it came early. Lately I have been extremely tired, irritable, and have been extremely nauseous! My stomach always feels like it is gurgling and I am sick of feeling sick. I have no idea what is going on! Can you explain what is happening?

Menstruation Answer A7174
A missed menstrual period and/or an early menstrual period this month might be related to hormonal imbalance, for which you are advised to visit a gynecologist. Gynecologists specialize in diagnosing and treating abnormal menstruation. It will be helpful to bring a history of your recent menstrual periods with you when you make an appointment (day started, day ended, type of flow ... over 12 month calendar).
