You have as much chance of being pregnant as anyone else who has unprotected sex. You need to take all your pills correctly or else you may as well not be on birth control pills

I missed a week of my birth control pills, and i don't know if i would be able to start my pills after missing a week of the pills? and i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend more then 12 times and what can happen?

Well, pregnancy is definite possibility. I would just start a new pack. You can start now or whenever but you need to take them for a week before you are officially protected again.

But you should probably look into a different form of birth control though since you're having obvious problems with taking it daily-- its not a big deal, you just need to find something that fits for you.

For now, wait two weeks after the last time you had sex or at a missed period, then take a pregnancy test.

I lefted my pills in my boyfriend's truck and he went off to work, so he had to send my pills up to me and i still haven't gotten the pills yet. So when i recieve them could i start my pills, when i get them. Could i start my pills like i never missed again or should take as much as i missed?

You need to just start a new pack. If you were to start up wherever you left off then you won't be protected during your placebo week and then another week of pill after that.

Start new, don't take the ones you missed, and you're not protected until the end of a week of taking your pills as directed.

When you KNOW you're not taking your pills correctly, for whatever reason (it really doesn't matter), then use a backup method!

so it is ok to just start them like any other day that i would start a new pack?it has been over two weeks now and i am just wondering if there is anything wrong with missing up on my pills. I never tried to miss my pills it just happened that i left my pills in my boyfriend's truck and he went back in work for three weeks, it was a good thing i remember it just before he got on the plane down south.

You need a new pack. If you start the new pack now, then your period may be a little off. Otherwise you can start after your next period and everything will be right on with your cycle.

Its not a big deal when you miss, just as long as you don't have unprotected sex during that time. You know what I mean?

I stopped taking my pill 2 days into the 3rd week b/c of a yeast infection that i couldn't get rid of that came from the pills I thought and had unprotected sex after the yeast infection left and since then the week after that i started spotting (not even enough for a pad) and that went away and now my breast have been sore for the past week with another yeast infection that started 2 days ago. Usually my breast aren't sore until the week of my period. I only spotted for the month of March and that's it, now my period is due in 2 to 3 weeks from today. Could I be pregnant? I'm also tired and urinating more frequent. Feels like something is pressing against my bladder. I've also had unprotected sex a few times since the spotting all with ejaculation inside me.I won't be devistated if pregnant. I already have one child and another would be a blessing. I took two preg test that were negative within a 24hr period but maybe they were negative b/c I haven't technically missed my period for the month of April? Thanks for your advise.

A few days ago I had unprotected sex. Well I thought it was protected until he finished and I realized he was not wearing the condom anymore. And I missed taking the first 3 days of the pill this month. And I just ended my period not even 7 days ago. So, be honest, what are the chances of being pregnant?? And, I took 2 b.c. pills the morning after I had unprotected sex.

DelicousDiva, your yeast infection problem may be caused by your pills (if they started around the time you started your pills then its probable). Talk to your doctor about switching pills or to a different birth control option. You are good to test 2 weeks after sex-- You may want to wait until 2 weeks after your last day of unprotected sex. I mean, its obviously possible your pregnant.

Amtenuta, the first pills of the pack are the most important. You would have needed to take the pill for a full week as directed before you were protected again-- the two pills doesn't really help. If a few days ago is less than 5 days ago, then you may want to consider Plan B (the sooner the better). You have about the same chance of being pregnant as anyone else who has unprotected sex.

Oh, sorry about the post a reply issue. Not sure how to navigate this site. But okay, that's what I was afraid of. Yesterday I went and bought the morning after pill here in Argentina (where I'm living now) "la dia despues". And I took it about 48 hours after I had sex. So I am hoping that'll do the trick!

ok...so i havent been consistantly taking my pill because i well...to be honest i keep forgetting. yesterday, my boyfriend and i had unplanned, unprotected sex. he did pull out. after that i started taking my pill. and i read online to lower your chances for becoming pregnant to keep taking them 12 hours apart. what are my risks due to my situation? thanks

your chances of getting pregnant are just as any other person who's not taking the pill or having unprotected sex. you need to start a new pack and to make things easier set an alarm clock at a time that you will be able to take you pill and be consistent. because technically speaking your not really doing anything by trying to take them all at once after you have unprotected test. you need be taking the pill at least a month prior before you start to have unprotected sex in order for them to work, or lower your chances. so i suggest that you take a pregnancy test, preferably at a clinic in order to be 100%.

im on the birth control patch, and i have a iron difishiny and im not supposed to get my period and i keep my patch on for the whole month, but i didnt get my patchs for about a week or two, and the day i put a new patch on i had unprotected sex, what are my chances of being pregnant?

I started taking the birth control pill, Nordette, about a month ago. I started the first pill on the last day of my period and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend about two and a half weeks into the first pack. I only have three of the neutral pills left for this same pack and haven't started my new period again and I'm really worried that I may be pregnant. Is it possible? Have I been safe? I have been on Nordette before and have always stayed very regular.

Me and my boyfriend always had sex without a condom since I take birth control. I forgot to take my pill a couple of weeks back while we were having sex and am now concerned. There was pre cum but he did not cum inside of me he always pulls out. But I am scared that there might be a possibility that I am pregnant. i just started the pill like not long ago, say monday last week and its saturday today, i had sex with a condom with my boyfriend but the condom broke and we didnt know. i took my pill as usual, but instead i took two saturday ones. do i have a possibility of being pregnant?

why would you take 2 pills in one day if you hadn't missed any pills? ..the rule for birth control if you're just starting is that you NEED to wait for at least 1 full week(7 days of pills) before you're protected from pregnancy....if you're really concerned about being pregnancy you can always go get plan B...you can take this up to 3 days I believe after having sex(however the longer its been the less likely it is to work)...and either wait for your period or take a hpt 2 weeks after you've had sex...
