miscarriage Please give ideas of what to expect

After 11 days of missed period I started bleeding,first with clots and then 2 days heavy bleeding with severe abdominal pains.Visited my Gp and found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant with possible miscarriage.He referred me to the the hospital where the test showed positive with the other line very faint.Did ultrasound scan but didnt find anything,went back following day where I overhead the doc saying there was no sac,took my blood test and told me I could be having an early miscarriage,Waiting for the results but dont know what to expect.Please give ideas of what to expect as I want to prepare for anything.
