Hi! I am 19 years old and wondering what causes woman to miscarry so easy in the 1st pregnancy? is it because their body is new to the pregnancy? or could it run in the family?

Vanessa, I do not know if your statement that miscarriages are more prevalent in the 1st pregnancy is correct.

I can only venture a guess that because this is the first time all the equipment is put to the test, problems will be discovered. During subsequent pregnancy, these conditions will be managed to reduce the risks.

Women is also more mature by the time the second pregnancy rolls around.
