I had my mirena inserted 9/12/08 because I developed blood clots in my lungs that was apparently caused by the pill. I wasn't allowed to use any form of contraception except mirena as the pill was to risky and there have been members of family that have had trouble with other forms of contraception. I have always had problems in my lower stomach with horrible pains cramps etc. Doctors thought it was possible endometriosis and i had operation for it as well as my mirena inserted. Endo was negative. Other thought was possible IBS. After i got my mirena inserted i had my period for two months straight. Then had occasional bleeding. I now haven't had a period for four months. Doctor told me it takes 3-6moths for periods to regulate and its now 7 and still hasn't. Doctor never told me of side effects and never told me i may never get a period. I have started having horrible headaches and migraines. Feeling moody and tired and experiencing a bit of anxiety. I have heard a lot of stories of women having trouble getting pregnant after mirena is taken out. Is what i am experiencing normal? I am worried because I'm only 17 i don't want to have trouble in later life with pregnancy etc. Seeing as my choices are limited with conctraception I'm also worried do you have any advice???
