I've just started taking the contraceptive pill Noriday. When will i be protected? All the literature i read on the internet says 2 days but my doctor is saying 7 days at least ! Which is true?

The medsafe.gov website says: During the first two weeks of the course only, it is important to use an additional non-hormonal birth control method to provide added protection (such as condoms or a diaphragm with contraceptive gel, but not the rhythm or temperature methods).
Your best bet is to go by the information included with the pills.
