In May of 2008 I had a laproscopic gallbladder removal. I returned to normal activities within 5-6 weeks including playing golf once or twice per week. Recovery was not as fast as expected.
One left over problem has been that my lower abdomen got bigger and my waist size increased by 2 inches without weight gain. At the final check-up by the surgeon I was told that it was because of remaining air that had been pumped in during the procedure in the cavity and that it would dissipate in time, over a year later it is still the same. I also belch a lot especially at night.
Other than that, I had no pain or other evident problems. However, after I went to Florida in January and resumed playing golf I began to feel mild - sometimes not so mild - pain to in the general area where the 4 punctures were made before and during the procedure. It sometimes gets better and at others gets worse. Could this be related to the procedure.
Thank you.
