Mild Cystic Fibrosis, symptoms similar to CF?

Hi all,

My girlfriend is 34 and has the following long-term (several years) symptoms: lots of mucus (to the extent she vomited the other day), chest infections, throat infections, clubbed joints on hands/feet, tiredness and stool related problems (very loose).

I read that it's possible for someone to have mild forum of cystic fibrosis and also to be only diagnosed later in life. Is this correct? I don't think she has CF so are there illnesses with similar symptoms?

My girlfriend also has asthma and acid reflux so takes an inhaler and various medications, and she is also a very keen runner. I mention this because I understand inhalers and exercise are a good source of treatment for CF.
