Hi everyone. Im 19 at the moment and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me figure out a condition that I have been living with for some time now.

Ever since I was 10 I've been getting migraines. However thats not the thing that scares me. I started getting dizzy, light headed and having black outs since the age of 15. My heart races at times when im standing or moving during these episodes. I would have nose bleeds every one and a while when everything else was going on.

These episodes lasts as long as a few hours to a few days depending on how bad it is. I get really dizzy and light-headed when I'm on my feet for any extended amount of time. It feels like I need to catch my breath. The lights get brighter and every sound around me gets louder.

The migraine pain is anywhere from a 5-10, 5 being painful but sensitive to light and sound, 10 being any sound makes my head pound and feels like my eyes are being pushed out from the inside. I can't function when I have that bad of a migraine. I have headaches every few days, always mild but almost constant. I also have trouble sleeping and toss and turn a lot. I also get a lot of nightmares, almost every night. These episodes dont happen often, once a year and usually around winter when I get sick. Any help would be very appriciated.

i had the same sysmtoms, my docto was able to do a eeg, or ekg and it came back with a rare seizure disorder, not epilpsy. its was a form of seizure in the sleep area ,and area that controls heart rates part of my brain. its pretty rare, but they put me on a seizure pill, and sleep medication and the episodes are only or 4 times a year now. If i get stressed it gets worse. sleep is very important, one systom is bad insominia and if i dont get sleep its a guarntee i ll have an episode. get a doctor to check for seizures. they are not always convulsions, but its like 2 or 3 million people that suffer from it so it gets missed and theres almost no researsh into it.

I don't know your money or insurance situation but I would get a refferal for a ct scan. You can look that up on the net. Have you had one done before? The anxiety of not knowing the answers can be frightening. Doc ever give you anti anxiety meds? Trazadone is great for sleeping. I would get to the doc even if it means a free clinic.
Why the waiting?
Good luck
