Since I have been having headaches almost on a daily basis, and migraines do run in the family - my mother wanted me to ask - Can you start getting migraines at any age?

Migraine headaches occur in all ages, typically affecting people between the ages of 15 - 55, but, it can appear in children as young as four years of age and elderly people of 80 years.
However, over 45% of migraine sufferers start with migraine attacks under age 20.
When only one parent gets migraines, there is a 50 percent chance his or her children will be afflicted.

Hey Gayle
There are symptoms that tend to present in Migraines that don't in headaches. If your doctor isn't seeing the "signs" they may not believe you. Regardless I'd either stick with the doctor's diagnosis or find a physician you trust. If your doctor doesn't have a successful treatment after a few sessions I'd ask for a referral to a specialist with experience in Migraines.

Thank You WOLF - I've been trying to find a physician that I trust and haven't succeed yet. I mean I have tried to tell her that my oldest sister has migraines and my half-sister also has them too - but she hasn't listened at all. So I am going to try today!
