Q: Mid-term bleeding
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 13th, 2009
My period ended 11 days ago and yesterday 03/12/09 i had some bleeding that i noticed when I wiped. It was light pink on the tissue but i checked my garments and notice that it had also leaked there. I used a pad to protect my clothing and this morning nothing was on the pad but when I wipe it's brown.I am sexually active and my boyfriend and I did not use protection the last few times we made love. He was deployed a week ago to Korea and I used a clit stimulator the day before I had the bleeding and the day it started. There are some slight cramps but nothing desiring the attention of tylenol. Please tell me what's going on. I'm freaking out.

The bleeding you experienced might be mid-term (ovulation) bleeding. When the body prepares for ovulation, normal expected hormonal changes occur. Sometimes they can be too sudden, and the inner lining of the uterus responds with bleeding. The bleeding is usually very light. The cramps you experience originate from the ovulation itself. As you can see, what you experienced is within normal body reactions and does not need further medical assistance.
