Q: Mid-cycle bleed on CD17 ?

First of all, I think a little history is necessary. I spent nearly 2 years bleeding almost constantly. I finally went to a doctor and she thought I might have PCOS. I started taking Metformin on Feb 2. Around Feb 15, I stopped bleeding for a few days and started what appeared to be a normal cycle on Feb 18. It was soon, but I figured it was a good start. It lasted for about 5 days and went through different phases like a cycle (starting heavier and finishing lighter). After those 5 days, I stopped bleeding. On Mar 2, I went for my 1 month follow up and she scheduled an u/s to try and confirm or deny the PCOS diagnosis. I went, and she is now convinced that I do NOT have PCOS. She said that nothing on the u/s led her to believe that I had it and it was mostly nothing of interest. There were no cysts, fibroids, polyps, nothing. She did say that there was a thickening of the endometrial lining, which would be caused by either too much estrogen or if I was mid-cycle. Being CD15, I figured I was mid-cycle. So, she referred me to an OB/GYN in the area for further fertility discussions, just in case. I called and couldn't get in until April 6.

So, as of CD17 (Mar 6) I started bleeding lightly... not spotting, but lightly bleeding. It went on for about 2 days. On CD19 it had stopped completely and I felt like I was having ovulation pain (slight, dull pain in my lower right abdomen) and a highly increased sex drive... like 0 to 100 in an instant. This is very strange for me. The very next day on CD 20 (Mar 9), I started bleeding lightly again. Now, 3 days later, I'm still bleeding lightly. It's definitely more than spotting, but certainly less than my periods ever are.

I guess my question is whether I'm on CD23, CD7, or CD4? The other option could also be that I'm still just all screwed up and back to the random bleeding at random times. But, it never started this light and stayed this light. I'm so confused. Any help is appreciated.
