Q: Mid back pain waking me

Three nights running now I have been awakened around 4:00 AM with severe middle back pain. The first night I thought it was from sleeping on my stomach so I switched to my side, but the two next nights I awakened with the same severe pain. After getting up the pain goes away and I am not bothered throughout the day. When I raise my hands over my head I can feel the pain in the morning but it is only achy not painful. What do you think it is and what should I do. It is really scaring me.

As you've been having this problem for a while though, you should see your doctor or someone like a chiropractor to identify the cause of your pain, help relieve it and maybe give you some advice and exercises to prevent it coming back.
