In April My fiancée decided to come off Microgynon 30 because of the health risks, like increased Cancer risk etc. she was still on her seven day break, when we had sex, so in theory she was covered for that seven day period. However, because she was coming off of the pill she hasn’t had any pills since the end of the seven day break.... and is now at the time of writing this, about a week late, which apparently has never happened before. Now for the bit that we need clarifying.....

Should we be concerned that she still hasn’t started her period yet, or is lateness a side effect of the body re-adjusting after coming off the pill? And it may well start late?

If you have sex during the 7 day break, you’re covered against pregnancy, but what happens if you don’t follow the 7 day break up with a new pack, are you at risk of pregnancy if you had sex during the 7 day break, but didn’t start a new pack immediately after the 7 day break?.... we haven’t had any unprotected sex since she came off the pill.
