What has your spine surgeon advised you? What where the instructions given to you?

Usually the instructions are no bending, no turning, no twisting, no stooping, no reaching beyond the length of your arm at waist level and no lifting anything heavier than 3 -5 pounds.
All of this for a period of at least 3 weeks.

Once that point is past, physical therapy for a period of 8 weeks, going twice a week to learn how to properly strengthen your core muscles, move correctly when you bend, turn, twist, stoop and walk.

Good luck
