Let me just say YIKES! lol, I think they photoshopped the pictures they put on the website! Some of the rooms in the house weren't bad at all. It had a decent size living room & dining room. Off the dining room there was a room with sliding glass doors that went off onto a little patio. & when I say "little" patio, I mean LITTLE. The sunroom was cute too. The kitchen is where it started going downhill.. It was tiny & dark, (I can't live in dark gloomy houses, they feel haunted) they said it was a newer kitchen but I didn't see one thing in there that was 'newer'. As soon as we opened the basement door to check that out, this HORRIBLE smell came out. Shane opened up one door in the kitchen thinking it was a closet & there sat a toilet & a miniature sink lol, apparently that was the 'half' bath. Upstairs was decent until we saw that the other two bedrooms, were connected. You had to walk thru one to get to the other one which I definately don't like. The master bedroom was nice though, had wood floors & a huge closet. The tub was all rusted & looked disgusting.. Now I know why the price has been reduced twice & no one has bought it! But then we looked at another one in the next town down. Shane went in to look at this one because Kaylee fell asleep from the last house to there & I didn't want to get her out of the car & wake her up. It's a wood style lookin house, lol I don't know how to explain it. But Shane said it's beautiful, that it's also fully furnished which is a plus! It's on the higher side of our budget ($99,900) but it's definately do-able. The Century 21 lady said the electric bill only runs $40/month & she's suppose to get back to us to let us know what the water & sewer bill usually runs per month. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, big kitchen, dining room, living room & family room. Oh & a 1 car attached garage. But we're going to keep looking & see if we like anything else. There's a house on the same road Shane's mom lives on too that we saw was for sale, so we stopped by there & got the number yesterday. Shane called lastnight & talked to the owner. He wants $130,000 for it but it comes with 8 acres of land. The USDA loan wouldn't cover that & we explained to the guy what we were qualified for & he offered to self finance us for 5 years (Basically everything we paid in that 5 years would go toward the $130,000), then by then our car would be paid off & we'd definately be able to get a mortgage. He asked what we could come up with for a down payment & to talk about what we could afford to pay each month. Someone told us that the last person who lived there before he sold it remodeled everything in hardwood so that makes me wanna fall in love with it already! Shane called the owner back tonight & we're going to see it Tuesday at 4pm!
