My aunt(40 yrs old) underwent chemotherapy for cervical cancer around 5 months ago.The cervic al cancer is under control but now she has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic liver cancer and also some stomach cancer. She'll be undergoing most probably chemotherapy for this.I want to know what all should we as family members must keep in mind for her better recovery and WHAT ALL SHOULD BE PRESENT IN HER DIET AND PRECAUTIONS THAT WE SHOULD TAKE and lastly, the survival chances if we go for chemotherapy?? ITS URGENT...WE NEED YOU.

The prognosis with stage 4 metastatic liver cancer, which means that the cancer has spread to other organs or throughout the body.

The prognosis of this cancer can be done after diagnostic procedures like ultrasonography, MRI scan with contrast, and spiral CT. Treatment options can also be done to figure out the stage of this cancer and metastatic liver cancer life expectancy to measure this cancer’s course.

Metastatic liver cancer is considered as the most fatal sort of liver-related diseases. Its survival rates are very low. Early diagnosis holds the key for increasing survival. The survival in such cases is about 6 to 12 months after diagnosis.

With regarding to diet requirements anything and everything can be provided. But a high protein diet will be very essential.

You may consult with the treating doctors as well as a dietitian. They can provide more case specific information and advice you on specific management.

Does the fact that she has undergone chemotherapy for cervical cancer 5 months ago worsen the situation because she is again going to undergo chemo but this time for liver and maybe stomach?
