Hi All wave

New to the site and am so glad to know there are people who understand!

I've had epilepsy since I was 8 years old, I'm on 1000mg of Eplim and 100mg Lamotrogine twice daily. I used to have childhood seizures which developed into tonic clonic later in life (16) Been in ITU many times for this but not had one for the past 8 years. yes
However last year approx 3 days before, during and approx 3 days after I have been suffering from what I can only describe as 'nodding off suddenly'. It can happen upto 20 times during waking hours, I have spilt hot cups of tea on myself, ended up with my hands and face in meals. It has been said I can be talking to someone and I nod off, blink rapidly and slur my speach. At times my limbs jerk and it has been know for me to drop things but am I just clumsy? My hubby says that when I go to sleep my body twitches sometimes so badly it has woken him up.!
Unlike the tonic clonic I don't get any warning. Afterwards I don't feel sick, confused, bite my tounge, cry, or wake up with wet clothes! Yeck sorry.
I used to feel so upset that I had tonic clonic seizures but at least I got a warning and could get on the floor or out of sight. This however is driving me to sleepless nights, I've now been diagnosed with clinical depression, too.
Has anyone the answers or experiencing the soame. I feel desperate embarrised and at times now suicidal.
I'm 43 been sterilized don't want children but the gp will not refer me to a gynecologist to discuss having a hysterectomy!! I'm thinking of going private if they won't do it.

Any advice would be fantastic! thanks

did you talk to your MD about going on something such as deprovera which would make it so you do not get your period? It may really help with the seizures if they are directly related to hormone changes
