This condition is not considered pathological. You might want to differentiate whether your son does not want or does not know how to urinate standing. If he does not want, you might try to talk him into it or take him to psychologist to discover if other issues cause this problem, and the negation of what you teach him is just a side effect.
If he does not know how, you might want to show him pictures of drawn (not real) male children urinating because at that age the children usually learn by imitating others. Also, if you take him in kinder garden he might learn it from other children. In the end, if it is acceptable for you, you might even show him yourself how it is done by helping him to stand when he urinates.
