I am 45 years old. I had a partial hysterectomy at 35 due to abnormally heavy and frequent periods.I still have my ovaries. Prior to that I had a lot of difficulty getting pregnant. I have two children. I was told that I did not ovulate every month and that was why it was difficult for me to get pregnant. My husband and I never used birth control, we wanted more children. At one point the doctor put me on Clomid which did work but I had a miscarriage. Anyhow I have been having night sweats, hot flashes, trouble sleeping, mood swings and memory problems. Mad My PCP is telling me my FSH is normal. I am wondering if my FSH being normal is not normal for me. Isn't the FSH the thing the stimulate estrogen? If my logic is correct my body did not create enough estrogen to release an egg every month so that is why I could not get pregnant very easily. Am I right or wrong? What if the best way to handle this with my PCP? Question

Additional input: I have one sister who started menopause at 38 and my mom started in her early 40's.

Thanks, I appreciate your time and input. Wink
