YES! These children are called menopause babies. Even without periods women have become pregnant. I just watched a show called "pregnant and didn't know it" and it was about women who thought because they were menopausal or not having a period they could not get pregnant and they did...I have also watched a baby story about a 47 year old woman who was on estrogen replacement therapy-had never had a child and discovered she was pregnant. She was six motnhs along before she realized something was going on...OF course, many of these women believe that they are dying of a dreaded disease. They never imagine that they are pregnant. There were 255 children born to mothers aged 50-54 last year according to the National Center of Health Statistics. These were concieved spontaneously-without medical assistance-so YES there is definitely a chance and I hope that this what you wanted to hear. Children are ALWAYS a blessing and an opportunity to fill our life with more love.
