hi i am 42 years old. i have one child that is 8 years old .i have been havin unprotected sex with my husband. 4 day ago i noticed blood after having sex,but my period was not due for another 13 days ...the period is so much lighter than it normally is it doesnt come down like it normally does..my period usually starts light the first day and is usually heavy throughout the week and it usually last seven days .could i possibly be pregnant or could this be a sign of menopause...i am also sleeping a whole lot more than usual i am so confuse could someone please help me.

Welcome to ehealthforum.
The change in bleeding pattern, midcycle spotting, and increased sleepiness do indicate possibility of pregnancy. Look out for other symptoms suggesting early pregnancy. The changes could be also be due to change in hormonal levels too. Visit your gynecologist/obstetrician for a thorough check and examination along with tests to confirm/rule out pregnancy. If pregnancy is ruled out, then further investigations might be needed to look out for the underlying cause.
