menopausal and reoccuring itchy patches

over the last few months I have had a reoccuring problem with very itchy neck,scalp,palms and wrists also the inside of elbow and knee joints, the symptons last 3-4 days at a time. I have tried antihistamines but they don't work for me, quiet simply driving me around the twist, any advice welcome

Welcome to e health forum.

Use calamine lotion to apply at the affected areas, which can reduce the itching. Use of medications like Singulair can also be helpful.

For proper diagnosis consult a dermatologist at the earliest.
