I was playing golf and as i swung the club I felt a kind of popping feeling. It hurt at the time and it prevented me from finishing my game. It stopped hurting but i made an appointment with my physio to be on the safe side. She said there was swelling below my patella just left of centre on my right knee. After she broke up the swelling she started feeling around and it hurt! She was unsure what it could be so she told me to come back in a few weeks so she could retest it. A week later my knee was killing me, in the same place there was a very deep pain and it hurt when i was sitting down aswell as walking.I immediately went to my GP and she said it wasnt the ligaments on the inside of my knee but that there was definite soft tissue damage. She reffered me to a knee surgeon for a mri but my appointment isnt for 4 weeks. Could anyone offer there opinions on what it could be?
