Meningitis carrier ?

Hello!

I was reading on another website that people can be a carrier of Meningitis. They stated that persons who carry it usually carry it in their noses or the back of their throat.It also said that it doesn't attack the body unless his/her immun system is down. Here is my Question. Can a person really carry Meningitis like another disease? If so is it possible to find out if your a carrier?


I had meningitis twice so I would like to know if I am a carrier of was it just bad luck as one doctor told me.
