Q: Memory erase ?

Is there any medical procedures or pills out there that can completely erase memory? The idea is, this individual video records all of the important information about themselves that they need to know. Including letting themselves know that the total memory erase was for a good reason and completely influenced by themselves.

I was watching "House" the other day and saw an episode where some guy had to have his memory erased in order to get him to stop having heart attacks. Every time this girl came around his heart rate would rise causing seizures, and heart attacks. So House did something that completely erased his memory. I think they zapped his brain with electricity.
