Razz My heart goes out to all of you who have experienced a loss. The process is truly a roller coaster ride.

My brother died several years ago in a drunk driving accident. He was a college student, who was only one month away from graduating. He was going to be a social studies teacher. Since he was in college, he did not have very much (material wise), so I only had pictures to remember him. My mom found a person who made memory bears out of the loved ones clothing. I received a bear for Christmas one year. It is one of my favorite items, as it reminds me of him (I smile everytime I see it). The bear inspired me to start making bears for others who have suffered a loss. I have made the bears for all different kinds of people. I even made six bears out of police T-shirts for a woman whose husband died in the line of duty. What a privledge to make an item that would be so loved by his children and nieces and nephews.

Wow, that sounds really neat. I'm in the process of having jewelry made from the flowers at my grandmother's funeral. There's some kind of machine that crushes the flowers and makes them into beads. I love the bear idea though...something cuddly to sleep with. I wish I had some of my grandmother's clothes so I could do something like that.
