I'm reasonably active, and don't eat that badly, but slowly and steadily my weight is going up. I take 15mg of Olanzapine. What's a better pill to be on in New Zealand? I'm currently 91kg and 183cm tall. I suffer from several side effects, but the weight gain is the one I dislike most.

I used to take olanzapine and risperidone but I took myself off of olanzapine because i gained like 30lbs while I was on it. The risperidone doesn't make you gain weight and doesn't make your stomach feel like a bottomless pit.

I felt drugged up on Risperidone. The day after I switched to Olanzapine I had the greatest sleep. I felt normal and refreshed for the first time in 3 years.

I'm currently taking Risperidone 2mg. I put on a wee bit of weight at first but have since lost it. Have you tried all the meds on the market? Have you thought about lowering your current dose?
