Hi,
I am 42 years old and have been having prostate problems for 4 years. I have a huge fear of medication being afraind of reactions and or side effects. I can't get a Doctor to help me at all and I fear they just think I am being paranoid. I have been prescribed Leviquin even though Cipro makes my joints ach really bad. This drug is in the same family and much more powerful. I don't want to get sicker but I just can't take the med. Does anybody have any suggestions and is anybody else out there like me or am I just going crazy ?

I know with some of the medications out there, there is good reason to fear. I know I was not always on board to take my medications over the years. But now I know that I need them, and I am fine at this time taking the meds.

The recent problem I encountered with current med, is if I miss a dose, I can't sleep until I take the missed dose. I bothers me, but I can't get back off of the med cause I want to sleep - if I don't get enough sleep I suffer sleep paralysis and that scares the hell out of me.

Good luck, if you can't get your current doctor to help maybe you can see another doctor.
