medication for rhinitis and asthma Posted: 08-10-08 07:32am
i have had asthma for about the last 12
years (im 25 now). im taking 200
micrograms ventolin and 100 micrograms
becotide per dose. im currently taking 3
sometimes 4 doses per day even though my
doctor advises me i should only need 2
doses. and sometimes i require up to 400
micrograms of ventolin to get comfortable
breathing back
recently i acquired a severe blocked nose.
my doctor advised me that this is rhinitis
and gave me a steroid nasal sparay
(nasonex) to use. i found this helped the
rhinitis but made my asthma worse. it
doesnt feel like typical asthma, but
deeper into my chest and i find im
struggling to catch my breath. although
this hasnt affected my day to day routine
i do find exercise difficult
just wondering has anyone experienced
anything similar with rhinitis meds?

Ive used Nasonex for a while and while it
helped with allergies I noticed it didn't
do anything for my asthma, are you on any
inhalers or anything?
