I am a 47 yr. old female, non-veteran diagnosed with PTSD and on Social Security Disability. I grew up in a very abusive alocholic home with my two sisters and also have severe pmdd and depression. I have been on Zoloft for over 20 years. Is there anything out there that someone has used that I should try? I am seeing therapists, group, and tried: Citalopram, Celebrex. I am about at the end of my rope. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear you're suffering so badly, as anyone would in your shoes. I think clonzepam works really well, makes you drowsy, though. I also have been prescribed lorsopam, but haven't started taking it, yet. I started going to church again, which really helps to reduce my level of stress. Get out and join a group that promotes an interest, just to get out of the house, and out of your head... and let your community show you they love you. I know it's hard. I have PTSD, and a seizure disorder, and acute anxiety. I'm trying to find some kind of sleep therapy, or meditative therapist to help with my stress levels, too. Maybe that would help you, as well.

God bless,
EC
