Everything is all right...going to the dentist is more tramatic!
I took the abortion pill and I am still bleeding (it's been almost 3 weeks), I want the bleeding to stop, but it's not heavy enough for planned parenthood to be alarmed. It's freaking me out but I have to realize every woman's body is different. My iron levels are excellent though, so I am not loosing enough blood I guess. I had a surgical before, it was a lot easier in terms of recovery, but I like how the pill is not invasive, although honestly getting a tooth pulled is riskier and more painful. Abortion is just more emotional.

And just remember, the abortion pill is safer than drugs like VIAGRA ( go figure men don't get crap when they control their sexuality). Women are always put down for their sexuality in society, plus hormones make it all hectic.

Don't feel bad girls, I know sooooo many women who have had more than one abortion, its a part of womanhood--lots of girls do it, but no one talks about it. You girls care about life, because you care about the conditions that life must live under. and I personally could not afford a child, I have no car, and my boyfriend didn't want it---what kind of life would that be raising a child in an unstable home?

I love you girls for your honesty.

ps. TRY not to surf the internet toooo much its full of misinformation. Stick to nationally recognized medical organizations. The evidence is clear--- legal abortion is SAFE abortion. Seriously just breathe and relax. If you have an questions just ask I have had 2 abort. now and I am only 22 and fine.

worsething- for me the bleeding was just like a period with a few more stringy clots. it can vary for everyone but my bleeding stayed pretty light. but my cramps were pretty bad but ended after a few hours.
and just to let you know bleeding can continue for up to three weeks, mine stopped after about 10 days. so dont panic if your bleeding doesnt go away quickly
good luck!

What happens if you don't take the first pill, just the second pills (Cytotec)? My daughter has been told to take the four pills the way you said, and insert other 4 vaginally? Do you think it would work? I am really worried since she is not here, she is in other country with her sister and got this problem, I have already sent her the Cytotec, please advise me.

Uneasy
just a quick note: i just took my four pills vaginally almost an hour ago and although i was anxious to get the process over and done with, i was still a little apprehensive and scared as to what was in store for me while laying down. i took the 800 mg ibuprofren 30 min before and it must be working because i have yet to experience any cramping worse than what im used to during my usual periods. after inserting the pills, i just had a bad feeling and could not take my mind off what was going on inside me. in an attempt to ease my fears, i grabbed my laptop, found this and another forum and have thankfully been comforted! i read all the posts and have had some of my own questions answered before i even asked them:) thanks to all of you (namely veggiegurl), this tedious process is going a little smoother. thanks again!

habibti, how did it go?

i'm scheduled to get the medical abortion next week wednesday, but am worried as I am going on a trip with my parents on saturday morning. I was also worried about the risk for infection, and am hoping that I will be mostly back to normal by saturday morning. =/

Wow this forum has put me at ease and I'm so grateful. Have just taken the 4 misoprostol (they still dissolving in my mouth). I've been super nervous, read a horror story earlier about the severity of the cramps and almost fainted. I'm fully prepared for pain but really scared too! Can anyone recommend what painkillers are safe to use, was told asprin is a no-no, is ibuprofen okay?

ibuprofen is ok but tylenol would be better
but my cramps were so intense that it didn't do much for me... before i took anything my clinician gave me a prescription for tylenol3 (tylenol with codeine) and i wish i wouldve picked it up.... so if you can get a prescription for tylenol3, i suggest you do- if not, just take tylenol every five or six hours.
And the best thing to do is just try to go to sleep- get as comfortable and relaxed as you can, drink lots of fluids and eat something light for the next day.
best of luck!
