hi i had a medical termination 5 weeks ago (due to health risks) i was 8 weeks pregnant.i have had two children before this.i bled in both pregnancies and nearly lost both children.my son was born 14 weeks early as i lost a very large amount of blood.i bled fairly lightly for two weeks after the termination but then began to bleed fairly heavily i went to the hospital and was given a scan they said that nothing was left in my uterus the bleeding settled down and i bled every three days usually when i was active.i am now bleeding heavily again i believe this is my period however i am unsure this is the heaviest i have bled since the termination i am unable to go to see a doctor and am not near a hospital so i cant get it checked out just incase.i was wondering how long is it normal to bleed for and if this is a period will all the bleeding stop afterwards,i am unable to rest as i have my daughter and disabled son to care for i am on my feet all day.the bleeding scares me especially after all i went through with my second pregnancy.before this possible perod the bleeding was every three days as i said but is this normal?
Call the doctor who prescribed the termination medication and ask if this is normal. You need to make sure because if you are bleeding very heavily, you can become anemic or worse. If you feel light-headed or if it seems like it is going on longer than your period usually does or if it continues to be unusually heavy, you should see a doctor, as soon as you can.
Why do you say you can't see a doctor? Why can't you go back to where you went before?
Did they give you any information (like a paper or pamphlet) on what to expect and how you know if something is wrong?
