Maybe you have mentioned befor an indident which involved your back?

Must confess I do not know taht EDD stands for, am guessing some insureance company?

On we females are quite often sent for a psychic evalution when complaing of some phycal illess.

Maybe you can get a letter from the doctor who first said that you had a mental condition and send it or take it to the people involved with assesing your disability.

I also received a letter requesting I see an independent doctor wanting to discuss all the physical parts of my job. I have none, its all white collar work in an office or plane. I am on stress leave and do not agree or understand why this is required. The disability money is what I put into it. It
is not wellfare or state charity money. Im sure the doctors for EDD are there to not help, but to disclaim your reason for your disabilty. Has anyone expeirenced a visit and what did they do during this visit. Would like to know so i can prepare.

I'm going through the exact same thing right now. Have been on leave for 4 months. I'm due to return in a month. But, now they want me to see one of their Doctor's which worries me because this Dr. is working for EDD and not me, so I think I know who he'll side with.

What do I do? Why is this happening?
