I am 23 and found out a while ago that I was pregnant. My doctor said I was early enough to do a medical abortion, which I thought was the best way to go because it is more private and you can be at home.
I went last wednesday for an ultrasound and to talk to the doctor. they confirmed that I was 5 weeks pregnant, and told me to come back the next day for the shots of methotrexate. 6 days after the methotrexate i was instructed to take 4 tablets of the misoprostol vaginally, and then another 4 the day after.
About 3 days after the methotrexate i started bleeding a bit. Yesterday (before i took the misoprostol tablets) I was bleeding a bit more.
After i took the first 4 misoprostol tablets, i bled heavily but there was no passing of tissue. I had mild to pretty bad cramps. The bleeding stopped late in the evening. This morning I took 4 more of the misoprostol tablets, and I have only light spotting, and some cramps.
From what I have read you are supposed to pass tissue.
Should I be worried about this?
I am worried that it has not worked or something.
Could it take a few days for more tissue to come out? Thank you
