Q: measuring penis accurately

I know to measure the penis from the base to the tip as I have read on every article online but I am not really sure if I am cheating or not when I measure it. Some guys stick straight out perpendicular and others straight up when erect and I notice when I hold my penis out perpendicular to my body when measuring it is actually longer. Is this considered cheating or is that how every guy measures it? No one really has pointed that out in the articles I have read.

I don't know if there's a correct way. There can't be too much of a difference between measuring it certain ways.

Far as I've been able to gather, the correct way to measure is to hold your erect penis out straight from your body and measure along the top, pressing slightly into the pubic bone.

I've also heard from a woman that a good way to accurately measure what enters during intercourse is to get a toilet paper tube, put your penis through it and measure what comes out the top. Add 4.5 inches(for the tube length) to whatever that is and there you have it.
