Q: 16, maybe pregnant ?

my names jessie, i'm 16 years old. i'll be 17 in march.

i've been posting things on here, but not getting alot of replys like i need right now.

i'm on birthcontrol and don't take the placebo pills, instead i just start a new pack again replacing the placebo pills, medical reasons. i sometimes skip pills by accident, and somtimes dont take them at the right time everyday. i had unprotected sex on dec. 10 and i can't remember if i took a pill that day or not. i had sex probably 2 more times after that, without a condom, but i didnt mark them down. i usually mark down the days i have sex with my boyfriend.

5 or 6 days ago i stopped taking my pills because i've been getting what i think are pregnancy symptoms. headaches ALOT, urinating more than usual, tired more than usual, i feel more hungry, my stomache feels weird sometimes, and thats all i can really think of.

3 days into not taking my pills, i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. 2-3 days after that i got my period, it started out light, and now is more heavy. but i noticed just not that its not as heavy as it was earlier today.

i know i'm stupid for not using condoms, but i chose it and i can't take it back now.

i don't know what to think, or do.

please, just some input, advice, anything?

Take a pregnancy test. It is the only way to know for sure.

I'm telling you what I think - and that is TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST. Don't take the advise if you don't want to, but that is the advise you are going to keep getting.

jessie, its hard to tell if you could be pregnant or not, i got pregnant at 16, only thing you can do is have a test, but it will only give you an accurate answer if it has been 3weeks since the sex
jules! well it sounds like you are pregnant, sound like same things i felt when iwas pregnant you should have a test, here to talk to both of you if you are cos i no all about it! im 18 now and i have a son! x x

You would know if you are pregnant or not if you took a pregnancy test.

hi
hi jessie, i think because you have had a period and the symptoms your getting could be related to your period, but cos you have been missing your pills you could be, asometimes people do still get periods even though they are pregnant so...only thing to do is get a test, why dont you want to take one? n jules hasnt had her period and the symptoms shes having sound alot like what i had when i was pregnant. especially the everything that has a smell makes me feel sick, that happend to me alot! X

good luck jules if your going for your test today X

Ok first of all jessie, you could be pregnant, but it is very unlikey. Especially if you don't take the placebos. The hormones in the pills can take a bit to wear off. That being said, every body is different and sometimes you can get pregnant while on the pill or if you miss a pill. However, the only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, then go to the doctor if you still feel you are pregnant. They can do u/s and a blood pregnancy test.

If you are pregnant, knowing as soon as possible is the best for both you and the baby. Delaying that, but still worrying constantly about it, is a complete waste of time and energy that could be put to better use. Such as: what are your options? what are you going to do financially, medically, school, etc? Right now you are thinking 'what if this' 'what if that' but you don't even know yet, so nothing is for sure.

I guess if it were me, I'd want to take control of my own situation instead of letting the situation control me.

No one on this message board, or any message board, will be able to tell you if you are pregnant. There is a 50/50 chance of being right no matter what choice is made.

i'm going to take a test. i'm just waiting till i can.

i'm sorry if i sounded mean but i just hate it when everyones saying "take a test" blah blah blah.

i know this. i'm just posting stuff because i want to know if you think it's possible i COULD be pregnant. not "do you know if i'm pregnant or not"

there's a difference..

If you've had sex, you "could" be pregnant. But that's all anyone can tell you. We can't tell you what percentage your chances of being pregnant are. The only thing we can tell you is to take a pregnancy test. You don't want to be told that, but that's all we can tell you. Anything beyond that is just speculation, and speculation won't change anything for you or put your mind at ease one way or another. The only way you're going to feel better about this is when you take a pregnancy test.

If you had sex on December 10th, a test will be accurate now. Planned Parenthood offers free pregnancy tests. The dollar store sells them too. Or, if you can't go now, you could wait for your next period. What's done is done, and asking what your chances are or if you could be won't do anything to change your situation, and you'll just end up driving yourself crazy with the "am I? could I be?" questions. You've got two choices here: test or wait. Nothing anyone says here will affect those two choices.

That's reality. I hope for your sake that you'll test soon and know for sure one way or another.
