There is absolutely nothing wrong with masturbation, we all do it and it is okay to do it, as long as it is not your only sexual release. I have yet to find a guy whose performance was inhibited or diminished due to masturbation. Many guys I know masturbate quite frequently and they still perform well when they connect with me (and many times they connect more than once!)
