is it necessary for a man to relive
himself through masturbation for medical
reasons. can there be any side affect for
a male not to relieve himself after while.
my faith teaches against it. but at times
it seems imposible to withstand myself.
all i have to do is just touch it and the
duty is served. medically i would like to
know.

Medically occasional masturbation is
recommended as it allows for the
reproductive organs to maintain
themselves. Think of it as clearing a
drain, if you will.
I wouldn't get too upset over the whole
religious thing. Your body needs to
perform certain functions and these must
be done. We don't burn witches at the
stake, perform human sacrifice or wear
chastity belts any more. Masturbate away.

Generally, your body will take care of
itself in the long run. It is true that
you can't go for an exceptionally long
time without ejaculating. Noctournal
Emissions (Wet Dreams) usually take care
of this for you if you don't masturbate.
However, having said this, there is
nothing medically wrong with masturbating.
Additionally, though, I think there is
something to be said about the guilt that
one feels about masturbating. I firmly
believe that because it is still so taboo,
and the fact that it is so intimate, the
guilt that is associated with masturbation
(if you have any) can be fairly damaging
phychologically. It's not something you
can talk about openly, especially in a
religious or dogmatic setting, so it's a
very personal struggle if you're against
it. Your best bet is to either re-evaluate
your ethical stance, or somehow muster the
will power to overcome it. My suggestion
would be the former, especially in your
circumstance, when masturbation is a very
intense urge.
