I think you can even if you don’t melt it. I wonder if it could get into your urethra though. I know petroleum jelly is safe for sex…and it’s like that.
I do know that Crisco is safe for your parts down there. Before I got pregnant I had painful sex. I was on Estrogen cream. Once I was preggos I had to stop using the Estrogen. My gyno recommended we used Crisco to help out with the dryness and discomfort…so its doctor approved. But lube is so much nicer if you can get your hands on it. Its sold at most grocery and drug stores.

I wouldnt recommend melting it though....
