Oh, my greatness!
I just realized that I gave this whole sermon without answering your question. Lol.

Dijon, God has created you with a perfectly normal body, which means that you will go through all these ‘hormonal phases’. If you didn’t, it would mean that something went wrong somewhere and that your body is not developing the way that it should be. The human body is extremely complex, and therefore I firmly believe that only a very powerful Entity could have created it. Don’t be ashamed of how it functions and the physical needs that ultimately comes part and parcel. You are obviously healthy, so thank God that you are developing normally, rather than only focusing on the ‘sin’ that comes with it.

I’m a little worried about your outlook on your religion as it seems that you focus quite a lot on ‘Hell and Damnation’. You quoted a couple of verses to prove your point about masturbation being a sin, but I can quote just about the whole Bible on how much God loves you. He sent his Son to be tortured to death for all our sins. And when Jesus died, he had three days in hell to look forward to. That, my boy, is LOVE.
And if God loves you that much, he will not punish you for having a healthy developing body.

When I was your age I felt so discouraged because I felt that Satan was waiting around every corner waiting for me to sin so I could join him in hell. At the same time I felt like God was sitting right next to him waiting for me to sin so he could punish and condemn me. So basically the only chance I had to get to heaven was to die in my sleep during one of those very boring sermons my mother used to drag me to.
Nothing could be further from the truth. God can’t wait to bless me because, yes, you guessed it: He loves me.
Hope this helps a bit.

Hi Beline
Didn't get back to you today.

Homer is my great buddy as is Mson.

Belief is what comes to you through faith. It is not like going to the corner for a Starbucks. It is a gift. It may come sooner or later, but there is nobody left behind. It is like waking up and there the special blessing is just for you. To accept it or not.

Believe me, I too was terrorized into becoming baptised through fear when these travelling sideshow/revival tent people came through our town. My brother and I were so frightend by that pastor, we went running up to the front because he said the end of the world could come that night and if we were baptised we would burn in hell forever.

How is that different from any religious fear implanted into people today in our own time? My brother and I are still believers. I am Roman Catholic, my brother Bobby is a member of the First Christian Church. I love my brother. He is very dear to me.

As are all of you.

Bobbie

It's getting there, apanbort. The zealots are very loud these days, egged on by a President who claims to do the will of God.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/am ericas/bush-god-told-me-to-invade-iraq-509 925.html

Quote:
The revelation comes after Mr Bush launched an impassioned attack yesterday in Washington on Islamic militants, likening their ideology to that of Communism, and accusing them of seeking to "enslave whole nations" and set up a radical Islamic empire "that spans from Spain to Indonesia". In the programmeElusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, which starts on Monday, the former Palestinian foreign minister Nabil Shaath says Mr Bush told him and Mahmoud Abbas, former prime minister and now Palestinian President: "I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan.' And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George go and end the tyranny in Iraq,' and I did."

Delusional.

Birch, I have a great deal of respect for you, and you know it, but I’m going to ask you not to generalize. I’ve been the victim of prejudice for a very long time now. I’m a white South African, and I love to travel. As soon as people hear that I’m from South Africa, they automatically assume that I’m a racist. Nothing could be further from the truth. True, I don’t agree with a lot of bills that have been passed by government, but that does not make me a racist. From what I’ve gathered most Americans do not agree on a lot of issues with Mr. Bush either.

Same goes for my religion. As soon as people hear that I’m a Christian, it’s as if they expect me to start thumping a Bible. Not all Christians are, well, weird. Though it unfortunately seems that the majority uses their religion as an excuse to assassinate, rape etc. Please keep in mind that we are not all like that, but I completely understand that this is the image carried out be a couple of nuts.

Ps. I firmly believe that George does actually hear a couple of voices in his head every now and then. Lol.

I appreciate your comments, Beline, but want to point out my exact words so you understand I was not generalizing:

The zealots are the individuals I take issue with. And I think a man in office, a secular office, claiming he does the will of God by instigating war is a zealot. Very Happy

O.o You shouldn’t have said that. I’m a second generation rich kid. I can afford airfare. And I have the stomach that can handle airline food.
