masterbation and the mind

This question is about materbation and how it affects my mind.

When Im in the process of masterbation, I get fantasies and thoughts that I wouldnt normally get when im not in the mood or masterbating. It seems that when im not masterbating, I think back to the thoughts and fantasies I had, and say to myself "what was I thinking, or doing?". Hopefully you understand my question, and you could give an explanation to this.
