I am 18 years old having massive hair loss for 8 mos. Worse last 3 mos. My Iron Sat. is low at 18,other iron tests normal. Thyroid tests normal. My AST (10), MCV (78.
Progesterone, and Estradiol are low. I have been taking a multivitamin with iron for months, and Slow Fe (iron supplement) for 6 weeks when these labs were drawn. HELP I am going bald and have been to 5 doctors 2 of which were dermatologists with no answers.
