i'm 32 and I fell a month ago and sprained my tail bone and my pelvis.
I had massive brusing in my lower back and butt. I was doing physical therapy every day and during that I found a lump on the front side of where my fall was. The dr told me it was a swollen lymphnoid. It was from my body getting rid of all the dead red blood cells. They used ultrasound to break up the bruise and to get the 'jelly like' blood out of my muscles in my butt.
The fall happened on Oct 7th and I didnt go to the dr until the 13th because I didnt think it was that bad at first. That day, the 13th, I started my peroid and it was normal.
now I'm a week late and I've taken a preg test and its neg. I've called my dr and hes on vacation.
My question is, could my fall and my body trying to recover causing my period to be this late? My lump is still there but is smaller than it was. They tell me I'm about 80% healed.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Periods can be delayed due to stress for about 10 days. Since the injury was severe, there could be severe changes in hormonal levels too. Wait and see if they start. Concentrate on the healing process, you should be fine. If you suspect to be pregnant, then get it confirmed/ruled out by a blood HCG level test soon.
Take care.
