I have been on Marvelon for about 2 years. I am using it for heavy periods, period pain and hirsutism. It has given me no side affects so far (no weight gain, no mood swings..) My only complaint is I often have break through bleeding.

Currently, I am on my second pack straight through (missed a period) and I have been bleeding for the last 10 days and my period should come next weekend when I take a 7 day break.

My question is, should I look for another pill to combat the break-through bleeding problem or should I stick to this pill as it has given me no other side affects. I am scared of the side affects of other pills but the break-through bleeding is annoying!
