Q: Marijuana Withdraw

I quit smoking Marijuana after using for 25 years. It has been 32 days but I still am having problems with Anxiety and mild panic attacks. I will go 2 days and feel pretty good then the anxiety will come back for an entire day. Its not as strong as the anxiety from the 2nd and 3 week of detox but now I am wondering if that is what life will be like for me from now on?? I take Anxiety pills when it gets bad and I am wondering if thats what is causing my lingering problem with light panic and anxiety. I have taken about 20 of those pills in the past 32 days--mostly in the beginning when the anxiety was unbearable. In the last 10 days I have taken maybe 5 of those pills. Do you think my body is just looking for the anxiety pill?
How quickly can your body become addicted to zanax?

I'd say you're still recovering from the marijuana withdrawel. I remember what it was like after i quit and feeling like I would stay anxious for the rest of my days but I promise you it will go away..... The ant anxiety meds can prob give you anxiety attacks too. those sort of things are addcitive and throw that on top of the marijuana withdrawel and that's why you're feeling so anxious. not sure about zanax but i used to use valium when i first quit a lot of diff drugs and believe me it was hell but it did pass. Now no addiction is as bad for me. i get through it within a week or two ie:drinking. I'm on valium now for the first time in 6 yrs and i can't imagine it being hard to quit at all. I'm just using my second pack because i had other issues.
The future will be brighter for you my friend. trust me i have been there..

i.ve smoked weed for 6 years i,m stoned 24/7 and if you've been smoking 25 years your bodys way more used to it, a think your body just needs it if you stick to not smoking it might go away. i came of it for 2 days and couldnt handle it got realy badly anxious, i dont think its the pills.

.
Since you have smoked for so long, your body is used to having thc in your system. While cannabis isnt known for causing withdraw symptoms, some heavy users do describe some withdraw as you have. It will go away and stay away form the xanax. ITs far far worse than cannabis and far more addicting
