Hello everyone,

I have not menstruated for going on one year this month. The doctor gave me three years worth of 10 mg medroxyprogesterone acetate to take should I go longer than 3 months without a period. I was given this prescription back in Feb of 07. However, the doctor did not know that at the time I had a heavy, heavy addiction to marijuana (not prescription, but recreational use). I never took these pills because I was so paranoid of clots in the brain and heart because I know that all hormones are controlled in the brain center. I also know that marijuana naturally raises the testosterone in women, which can cause the reproductive system to temporarilly shut down. I have been clean for about a month now and would really like to get my health and cycle back to normal, however, I am still nervous about taking this drug. Can I still have effects from the weed in my system that has yet to be cleaned out? Should I wait even longer for my body to just naturally run it's course, although I am approaching a year? Any suggestions and/or factual info would be greatly appreciated.
