Q: Marijuana and the pill

I know that smoking tobacco is not good while taking birth control but will smoking marijuana cause the pill to be less effective? I also know that any smoke in combo. with the pill leads to greater risk of cardiovascular disease, but my question is only about the effectiveness of the pill. thanks! headstand

Smoking marijuana does not harm the effectiveness of birth control. At least, no medical articles have made that connection, so you seem safe for the effectiveness.

But, please be careful. It is harmful to smoking anything while using the pill. It would be foolish to put yourself in harms way like that.

Well I'm glad I could at least read it on here JEEZ! Health boards is wacky! I was kicked off there a few months ago and never understood why so I just made a name here.
